Even with the low snow we decided to head North and try to find some snow. We were very limited to how many miles we could put on with the trail closers but we made the best of it. Once again we stayed in the little town of Mohawk, MI at the White House Motel. The Motel is very clean with easy access to the trail as well as breakfast and night life within walking distance.

Friday the group was on the search for snow. Heading South through Calumet and onto Lake Linden. We found the trail going across to Houghton/Hancock was closed due to the spring flooding so we ventured back toward calumet and took the "T" South to Houghton/Hancock on the West side. As we neared town the snow was getting quite thin and decided to run back to the North through calumet, past Vansville and onto the Eagle Harbor loop. Fuel stop back at Vansville then back to the White house for dinner and drinks.

Somehow Cheddar Nugget tossed her sled off the trail into the toolies.. thank goodness she was ok and the sled was still ride able.

After driving through some low and rough snow conditions a small group decided to drive down to Twin Lakes and ride. We on the other hand were on a mission to get into Copper Harbor. Finding the trails had been opened up in to Copper Harbor after logging we made it over Brockway Mountain and into town for a quick snack. From there we headed North and looped back around to Vansville and then back to the White House.
