List of parts needed:
1 speedometer cable and housing
6 3/8 rubber vacuum caps
3 small straight blade screw drivers
3 10-12 gauge crimp-on wire terminals.
Steps:
1) Cut 3 12" lengths of cable and 3
8" lengths of housing.
2) Cut the end off the screw drivers, 1/2" up
from the tip.
3) Weld the screw driver ends to one end of the
speedometer cable (As square as possible!)
4) Grind the joint smooth.
5) Weld the screw driver tips to the fuel screws from
you carbs. ( This is very important to keep this very square) (( If any weld
or slag gets on the threads it can be
removed with a file))
6) Take the vacuum caps and place a small hole in
each end then place them on the 8" pieces of housing.
7) Install the fuel screws into carbs and then slide
them into the housings and route them as noted in pictures.
8) Secure housings with plastic clamps or wire ties.
9) Install carbs in sled. Then check routing of
cables for free movement and pull up any excess cable (check to see what
radius bend works best on the cables, tighter may work better)
10) After radius is checked, crimp on the wire
terminals and cut off the excess cable.
Enjoy you new remote fuel screw adjusters.
